Every version sticks. You don’t have to remember a thing.

What you enter, we don’t see.

Du brauchst keine internen Genehmigungen, um splicelog einzusetzen. Andere Tools für Prompt-Vorlagen speichern oft alle Werte, die du einsetzt. Kundennamen, Briefings, vertrauliche Texte landen auf deren Server. Bei splicelog liegt nur die Vorlage auf unserem Server. Die konkreten Werte sehen wir nicht. Damit fallen NDAs und Geheimhaltungsregeln nicht auf das Werkzeug zurück.

You don’t need internal approval to use splicelog. Other prompt-template tools often store every value you enter. Customer names, briefings, confidential text all land on their server. With splicelog, only the template sits on our server. We don’t see the actual values. Which means NDAs and confidentiality rules don’t fall back on the tool.

What is a prompt management system?

A prompt management system is a tool that versions your prompts, works with variable placeholders, and makes them ready to use in your LLM. Instead of hunting through Notion docs or old chats, your prompts are central, reusable, and trackable.

What is the difference between prompt engineering and prompt management?

Prompt engineering is the craft of writing a good prompt. It covers role, context, task, format. Prompt management is the discipline of maintaining those prompts. It covers versions, templates, reuse across the team. Engineering writes the first prompt, management keeps it and makes it usable for everyone.

How do I keep prompts from scattering across Slack, Notion and code?

A prompt management system handles it. Three steps make the difference: central collection instead of scattered Notion pages and old chats, placeholders instead of twenty variations of the same prompt, versions so yesterday’s better wording stays findable.

Does splicelog store my prompt content?

Templates yes, actual values no. We store the prompt text with the {{variable}} placeholders in our database. What you fill in when you use it (customer names, briefings, confidential text) we don’t see.
